Fun read and amusing take on the Three Little Pigs. I like this version much better than the original!
This book easily hooked me in and kept my interest piqued the whole time. I can't wait to see more of Thea and Max's adventures. They're both witty and interesting characters. While Max is pretty amazing I gotta say, Thea is my favorite. Definitely a must read for anyone looking for a quick but captivating adventure.
I honestly wasn't expecting much when I first saw this online, but by the end of the first chapter I confess I was thoroughly entranced and dearly wishing for more. By the end of the second chapter, I had a grin from ear to ear and was all but flailing. All in all, well worth it!
Hysterical story with awesome characters - it's just perfect! I always wondered what a real woman who's just a regular, ordinary-looking person would do if she met a "dashing" spy who tried to seduce her, and this doesn't disappoint! Thea's sense of self and realistic outlook counters Max's b.s. and slick spy moves every time, and I love how Thea gets the best of him in the funniest ways. Snarky, snappy dialogue makes this one of the best things I've read in a long while, and I can't wait for more adventures with Thea and Max!
A very enjoyable take on the spy genre. I bought this immediately after reading the first two chapters on the author's website because I was already hooked. There's excellent banter, almost instantly likable characters, and an upbeat tone to the whole work. I'm quite hoping there's more to come -- there's no cliffhanger, but it does seem to be the start of a series.
This is absolutely hilarious. I'd read Wardell's stuff before, and was familiar with her modern and cynical take on fairytales, but this short story takes the cake. If every spy movie was this engaging, unconventional and funny, I'd watch them all.
